Create value through effective performance reviews

Do you want engaged and motivated employees who do their best at work? A well prepared performance review creates the conditions for clear feedback, development and shared goals, and it strengthens the relationship between you and your team.

With our tool you get a simple process and a complete template that guides you through the whole conversation, from preparation to easy follow-up.

The built-in guide is developed by HR experts together with managers and business owners. It is based on real needs and experience, so that you get the best possible support in your conversations with your employees.

The performance review covers these areas:

  • Where things stand today
  • Setting goals and reviewing how they were met
  • Performance and overall evaluation
  • Strengths and areas to develop
  • Skills development

A performance review is a conversation between employee and manager. The point is to agree on what makes the work possible, set shared goals, share feedback and discuss opportunities to grow.

How the tool works, step by step

1. Add company goals

Start by adding the company's overall goals. That gives the conversation a clear direction and makes it easier to connect each employee's development to the organisation's strategy. If you do not have company goals, you can run reviews against individual goals instead.

2. Create a new review

Under the Performance reviews tab, click Create new review. Choose whether the conversation is about company goals or individual goals, pick the employee to invite, and an invitation goes out by email. You can hold the review digitally or in a physical meeting.

3. The employee's self-assessment

Before the review the employee has a chance to reflect on their performance, goals and areas to develop through a self-assessment. That becomes the basis for your conversation and gives you valuable input for your own evaluation. Use it as a starting point when you think through the employee's conditions, performance, strengths and development areas.

4. Close the review

When the review is done the tool marks every step as complete. You can then export a PDF report and share it with the employee. All the information is stored securely in the tool under the employee's profile and can be used for future reference.

Why use a tool for performance reviews?

A clear template makes it easier to build structure, confidence and continuity in the dialogue between manager and employee. It helps you:

  • Follow up goals and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to develop.
  • See how you can help your team move forward.
  • Connect personal goals to the company's goals.

With the right tool it is easier to keep the conversations focused, productive and inspiring.
